BKK were invited, as part of a limited design competition, to present a proposal for bicycle parking facilities at railway stations across Victoria. The proposal was developed around the following key initiatives; Functional Base – an inexpensive, repeatable module that is secure and transparent; Celebrated Crown – a wayfinding mechanism that celebrates cycling and elevates the building to a civic piece of infrastructure; The Modular – a modular design suitable for location on, or around carparks; Adaptable Design – capacity to expand the storage space and/or add additional functions.
