2-Parts House is a contemporary addition to an existing Californian Bungalow. The design compliments the character of the existing house through casual living, the use of natural materials and intimate spaces that generate an impression of warmth and enclosure. The folded form and materiality of the extension reference lean-to and shed structures that predominate suburban rear gardens. The interlocking nature of the extension is derived from a Victorian love-seat, the two distinct halves of the house engage with one another.
