In association with Taylor Cullity Lethlean, BKK’s role in the revitalisation of Central Dandenong involves working with Places Victoria (VicUrban) and The City of Greater Dandenong to masterplan $290 million worth of works that will significantly alter Melbourne’s second largest city. The creation of a 15 year masterplan will see the centre of Dandenong transformed into an important part of Melbourne’s Transit Cities program. The objective of the project was to restore central Dandenong as a vibrant Central Activity Centre for Melbourne’s south-east region. This would allow it to realise its potential as a centre for business and services as well as an attractive centre for the local community and visitors. Community and Placemaking were at the centre of our design strategy.
