This footbridge for Dandenong Park will establish a new civic, pedestrian axis linking the city and its major open spaces to the south. The bridge is to be constructed from two asymmetric sculpted box girders supported on a forked concrete pier in a tri-arch configuration. The design is a contemporary interpretation of the city’s industrial heritage and will allow cost-effective fabrication and installation.
