The Monash Citylink Westgate Upgrade is a major infrastructure project being undertaken by the Victorian State Government. As part of the road widening works, three existing pedestrian bridges over the freeway will be demolished and reconstructed. A common design approach is to be applied for all three pedestrian bridges, creating a pedestrian bridge typology unique to the Monash section. The proposal gives each bridge an individual identity whilst allowing them to be seen as a set or family of relating structures.
