Werribee Open Range Zoo (WORZ) is one of 3 sites operated by Zoos Victoria across the state. BKK Architects was engaged to develop a Masterplan for the visitor entry and arrivals precinct at the Werribee facility. The brief called for an enhanced arrival and entry experience that anticipates a significant increase in future visitor numbers. The design incorporates a seamless transition between an expanded and upgraded arrivals zone, an entry forecourt and a visitor hub. The Masterplan sought to establish a number of principles for site planning grounded in a user-centred design approach.
