We were proud to announce the promotion of Deb from Associate to Senior Associate and Jen from Senior Architect to Associate in 2019. Apologies, we are a little late in getting the news out there but we were busy working on this brand new website which Deb and Jen were closely involved in.
Deb (Adams) has worked on a range of projects in the UK and is focused on delivering high quality design outcomes that demonstrate an attention to detail. Now living in Australia (and recently a recipient of a native tree and citizen papers) she has delivered large scale projects under the BKK banner for both RMIT & Monash Universities and is about to wrap up work on the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) redevelopment.
As we say here at BKK “More than Architects. More than Architecture” Deb has proved this to be true through her work on a research paper with Tim, for the AASA Innovating in Practice Conference and on the PassivHaus paper in collaboration with Mott MacDonald.
This breadth of experience, and in particular working on high profile projects has allowed Deb to develop the necessary skills and understanding to deal with complex projects and client organisations and more importantly attributed to our decision to promote her to the role of Senior Associate.
Jen (Salter) is another gun in our office who can claim to have a diverse range of experience including diplomatic, educational, institutional and high-end residential projects. Her work demonstrates dedication to delivering high quality architecture from the early design development through to construction completion. Most recently Jen has overseen BKK’s talented team to deliver a luxe fitout for the Monash University Business School Alumni Centre in Melbourne’s CBD.
She has a particular interest how good design can influence positive effects on the health and wellbeing of people that inhabit spaces we design. She also leads the team into BKK’s Friday Pilates class every week and a key member of the management team providing insight and a different perspective to BKK.
Well done, a well-deserved acknowledgement of the great work you have delivered and ability to be part of the leadership team at BKK.
