BKK Architects was establisted in 2000 and is led by Simon Knott, Tim Black and George Huon. The practice focuses on ideas, design thinking and delivering complete solutions to clients.
BKK specialise in design and problem solving rather than specific building typologies. This means we can offer creative solutions to a range of project types. Our clients include institutional bodies, government entities, small and large developers, the corporate and retail sectors, as well as private and public housing.
The practice centres around a vibrant studio environment. The energetic and multi-faceted culture drives desire for intellectual challenge and problem solving. Collaboration underpins the practice's approach. The aim is to expand possibilities, often with unexpected and enriched outcomes. Stakeholders are engaged throughout, ensuring an architecture that embodies the client’s values, aspirations and personalities. Further interests lie in social and environmental outcomes that strengthen and benefit the communities in which we work and live.
BKK are actively involved in public discourse within the wider community, ensuring the design approach remains socially and culturally relevant. BKK Architects has won numerous design awards and our work has been widely published both locally and internationally.
