Located at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country, the Agora has served as the central social and retail spine since its original design by Yuncken Freeman in 1967. The Agora Renewal Project represents a strategic reconfiguration of this precinct to elevate the campus core into a world-class, contemporary environment. Moving away from traditional, transactional food court models, the design establishes an ‘internal street’—a permeable, welcoming gathering space focused on socialisation, inclusivity, and student wellbeing.
